After being laid off from a 10-year sales and marketing career in 2008, Mike returned to school to formalize his computer and networking skills. After landing his first IT job in 2011, he has mentored students at local colleges on how to position themselves for a job when they complete their tech program.
Over the past few years Mike has obtained the following industry certifications: A+, Net+, Security+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) Server Administrator, Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist (MCTS) for Windows Server Active Directory, Configuring Windows Server Network Infrastructure Configuring, Windows 7 Configuration, a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Digital Forensics Examiner, and a certificate in Information Security and Risk Management. Recently he passed his Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification.
