Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Growing up as a disabled person in west Africa, I was mocked, ridiculed and rejected so many times I ended up believing I was ‘faulty’. I was told to shut up and not speak my mind, I was told to sit quietly and take pity on myself I ended up believing I had nothing good to offer anyone.
But God saw my pain and picked me up and dusted me clean. He has used me to mentor youths and inspire people to be their personal best. I am still a work in progress, but I hope yours will be a life God uses mine to touch too.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
For years I struggled with my self image, depression and anxiety in silence. I was convinced I was alone and that I had nothing good to offer anyone. I was constantly in emotional pain and conflict. I read and read and prayed until I couldn’t pray anymore. But as I finally gave in and decided not to struggle anymore, I heard the still small voice of God within me and He led me to some scriptures and people who helped shape my life and heal my heart and mind.
This book is about my journey with God, how He helped me find myself, healing to my heart and mind and purpose. I wrote this book hoping that people who are hurting and suffering in silence will know that they are not alone and that God cares and can heal them too. I hope that the steps I learnt from God will help people going through similar struggles to find peace, healing and purpose like I did.
