Interview With Author Abhishek Swain
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m an emotional storyteller who loves writing about love, pain, and silent goodbyes. I’ve written two books so far Until My Last Breath and Unwritten Good-bye. My writing comes from real emotions and life experiences, often portraying the unspoken side of human relationships.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is Unwritten Good-bye. It’s inspired by the emotions we leave unsaid, the people we lose without closure, and the silent struggles we hide from the world. It’s about that one goodbye we never got to say.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I mostly write late at night, when the world is silent and my thoughts feel the loudest. I don’t follow a strict writing plan I write when my heart feels heavy enough to speak. I let my emotions flow first and fix the structure later.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Elif Shafak, Rupi Kaur, and Rithvik Singh have deeply influenced my writing. I connect with their honesty and emotional depth.
What are you working on now?
I am currently focusing on promoting my books and connecting with readers who feel my words. Writing for me is about reaching hearts, not chasing trends.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I mostly use Instagram and word of mouth. I believe honest connections build a real reader base.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write with your heart wide open. Don’t worry about perfect grammar or structure in your first draft focus on telling the truth. Write like no one will read it, then edit like the whole world is watching.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Stop waiting for the right moment. Start now, with what you have, where you are.
What are you reading now?
I’m currently re-reading The Forty Rules of Love by Elif Shafak.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I just want to keep writing stories that stay in people’s hearts, even after the last page is turned.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Forty Rules of Love by Elif Shafak
Home Body by Rupi Kaur
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
