About Adventures of Tchotchke
This book for children is a softcover compilation of the three book children’s series about Tchotchke the bunny rabbit and the children adopt him as a pet. It includes Tchotchke Gets Adopted, Tchotchke Goes Quackers, and Tchotchke Saves the Day.
The books are written and illustrated so that parents can read to their children at bedtime or for early readers in the 5-8 age range to help them with their reading skills and for them to learn to enjoy reading at an early age.
This engaging story of a family whose children, like most, want a pet (and decide to adopt a rabbit) will help your children understand the importance of taking their responsibility seriously and what can happen when they don’t. The glossy full color illustrations in these stories will captivate your children as you or they read about how the family’s once adored pet bunny becomes so sad and feels so unloved that he runs away. In book 2, the bunny wants to be loved and to fit in so badly that he’s willing to become something he’s not, a duck. Of course, bunnies can’t become ducks, but Tchotchke has to learn that the hard way. He finally does and the family realizes that they need Tchotchke as much as he needs them. In book 3, everyone is so happy that they decide to take a camping trip to celebrate. That doesn’t turn out quite the way they expect but the children learn that everyone has the makings of a hero, as heroes come in all shapes and sizes.
