Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m a woman/wife/mother/businessowner who’s faced pain and found a more fulfilling and joyful way of living for myself. I developed a daily practice that includes an original mindfulness tool—the GLOWY daily reflection practice—that I share in my book, “The Chaos Antidote: A Fable About Mindfulness.”
I’m an avid meditator and mindfulness advocate who completed the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Course developed by world-renowned scientist, writer and mindfulness teacher Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD.
I live in Indianapolis with my husband, Jeff, and our two young kids. “The Chaos Antidote: A Fable About Mindfulness” is my first book.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
“The Chaos Antidote: A Fable About Mindfulness” is my first book.
Not long ago I found myself struggling, running from pain and unhappiness. I realized that I must cultivate a different way of living: I needed to learn how to stop and heal.
Amidst the trial-and-error of healing and learning, I opened my heart to many women and heard their stories of struggle: loss of direction, chronic anxiety, physical suffering and haunting pasts. My voracious pursuit of knowledge led me to an unexpected path: the path of mindfulness.
I felt called to write “The Chaos Antidote: A Fable About Mindfulness”, a parable to help equip others with knowledge and skills to ease their suffering and find lasting peace and joy inside themselves.
