Interview With Author Al Provost
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Al Provost, a licensed civil engineer, worked for the city of Los Angeles for thirty-six years, until retirement. After retirement, the Lord put in his heart the desire to obtain a California building contractor’s license in order to help local churches, friends, and family with building projects. He was honored and humbled to use his contractor and engineering skills and experience to help local churches with their building projects, including two new missionary homes, a 5,000 sq. ft. church classroom and office building, church hall renovations, and other projects. He also built a few homes for friends during this time. Throughout Al’s life, Jesus has touched him in so many ways that it’s hard to count. It was only as he matured in his faith that he has been able to acknowledge how Jesus’s love and care have guided him toward Him alone and the abundant life He has to offer. Because of Him, Mr. Provost became an avid student of the Bible and was led by the Holy Spirit to write this story to assist others’ understanding and appreciation of what God has done for the whole world through the Bible. He has published his novel “The Bible on Trial” with Empire Publishing.
