Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m a writer and college student with my own business. I never thought I’d be an author in my lifetime. I’m sure many people already have the thought of being a writer as a career. However, it kind of just came to me. I’ve always been a fan of reading and being able to learn new things. Isn’t it fascinating how you can read someone’s 20 years of experience through trials, tribulations, and knowledge all in one book? That’s exactly why I enjoy writing and being able to share with the world. I love to write books about things that matter and being able to know that every single person that reads any of my books will learn at least one thing from them that may be carried with them throughout their lives. I have many hats in my life and enjoy being able to build my Empire. However, writing is one of the most important ways that I’m able to express the importance of different things in life that I know will help anyone who lays their eyes on my pieces. I’ve written over 30 books and am releasing them all of 2020. My first book being released is called “Habits: The 7 Positive Power Habits That Will Change Your Life.” It’s compacted with knowledge of different mentors, personal experience, and elite books out in the industry today. I like to get straight to the point and paint a picture for the reader so it’s clear and well understood. One of the most important things to me as a writer is to help elevate one’s mind and not write and put anything out that doesn’t have the intention of positive change.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
I have an unreleased book, but will be released very soon called “Habits: The 7 Positive Power Habits That Will Change Your Life”. What inspired this book was the same reason that I’m inspired of all my books, which is positive change for anyone’s life. We all, sometimes, lose sight or even hope of our ambitions, dreams, goals, priorities, and even ourselves. This book in particular is designed to be straight forward to the core on the things we need to implement in our lives to help begin the process of great and genuine change. It all starts with the most powerful weapon of the universe, our minds.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
When it comes down to unusual writing habits, I always like to free write when I least expect it. I’m a natural creator and always spark up ideas, which I write down. I set a timer of 10 minutes and just write without stopping. In the beginning, you’ll always feel this writer’s block, but you write anything your mind comes up with and will continue to write. Right before you know it, your mind is fixed onto an idea and you begin writing what you subconsciously are thinking about. It’s a mechanism I was taught back in second grade. I’ve done it ever since and now, I write high valued books available for anyone in the world to read. If you’re an aspiring writer and want to know any good techniques, that’s by far one of the best I can say from nearly two decades of experience.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
“Piece of Cake” by Cupcake Brown is one of my favorite books. It takes you on a journey of such an incredible and empowering story. The way the author writes makes you feel every single emotion of the main character. That right there is EXACTLY how I write in my own way. I think conveying emotion into the reader is how it may reach someone’s mind and actually be able to soak up valuable information. I’d highly recommend this book for a good read as well!
What are you working on now?
Well, I’m a creator of all sorts. I’m constantly writing and creating valuable books with amazing content. Right now, I have a book on self love that is almost done, and I just have so books I’ve done overtime that I hope to help be reached to thousands and maybe even millions of people one day. My goal is to help you learn one thing from every book you read and use this valuable information in your everyday life.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
When it comes to promoting books, I’d say use any and every platform you may have your hands on. If you want your book to be reached out to many people, you have to put in the work for it.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
My advice to new authors is to always write about what you’re truly passionate about. Good writing comes from the passion that burns inside of you. If you’re looking to make a quick buck from writing, then why become a author? Literature to a reader is all about being able to escape reality through the use of words and a book. When you write out of passion, people can feel that passion through your writing and that’s exactly how you’re able to gain a fan base and be successful. Be genuine, be smart, and always keep being creative.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The best advice I’ve ever heard is from my parents. That advice is to work harder than everybody else. I’m a successful guy with different hats and being a genuine author that writes 100% of all my material isn’t easy. When everyone else is sleeping, I’m up doing more and more and more. I think it’s important to really know how important time really is. Every second that passes by, you’re unable to ever get back. So, you have to work harder than everybody else and use your time wisely and efficiently in anything you do. Of course, always take some time off, but don’t ever cheat yourself saying, “I’ll get back to it tomorrow.” Tomorrow becomes next week, next month, next year… Before you know it, you’re stuck in the same place that you were at when you were 23 years old and wake up and now you’re 35. If this happens to be you, always know that it is NEVER too late. Everyday is a new chance to start over and start fresh. It’s all about your mindset and your true intentions along with your vision of what you want. Remember, you’re limitless.
What are you reading now?
I’m currently reading James Patterson books. He’s author who bases all of his books on the crime/suspenseful genre. I, personally, love to read things that will stimulate my mind and force it to draw conclusions and connect pieces. I think constant mind stimulation is what grows your mind and helps unlock more creative aspects of yourself that you may have never known you have.
What’s next for you as a writer?
As a writer, I want to continue to write and promote my books. I have so much knowledge of so many different things in life that I want to share with the world. What I love is that my books are so straight to the point and always offer imagery for my reader to gain an understanding of what exactly is being explained in my books. I like to make sure my reader doesn’t ever finish my pieces confused or with questions. I like to lay it out like a blueprint. Once you have the blueprint, you apply it to yourself in any way, shape, or form that will benefit you.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
I would bring “Piece of Cake” by Cupcake Brown. “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill, and “Habits: The 7 Positive Power Habits That Will Change Your Life” by Me, Alfi Pagan. ( A little self promo doesn’t hurt, right)?
