About All the Glory is Gone
A little while ago, in a land far away, men fought and died in sweltering heat and humidity so thick, you could slice it like a pie. Many of these men only made it back home in a rubberized, nylon bag. Others, like John Holmes, made it back, but not the same as they left.
Since the war, Holmes has made a valiant effort to forget everything about that time, focusing instead on becoming the premier Florida beach bum.
But some things won’t be forgotten.
Because Holmes’s friend, Harry Anderson, another veteran of that faraway war, has gone missing. Holmes’s attempts to find his friend land him afoul of a paramilitary organization with ties to both his and Harry’s past. And one harboring secrets, they will do anything to keep hidden.
Because not only does the past not die, sometimes it kills.
