About American Tower by Chris Gibson
After the catastrophic civil war, rich people in New York built a colossal tower. They live in the aboveground portion in luxury. However, the poor are forced to live in the depressing underground basement.
Paul Poorman is a poor young man. He and his friend, Nico, work tirelessly to get out of poverty and live in suitable conditions. Paul notices how so many things are designed to keep the poor destitute. He begins to do some digging in the affairs of the rich and discovers a conspiracy they’ve formed. He shares this information with his poor companions, and their response is one of violence. But Paul develops another way to show the rich how valuable they are.
