Interview With Author Amos Ologunleko
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a creative writer and a first time author who helps business executives and aspiring leaders find solutions to issues and fulfill their desired destinies. My mission is to sustainably develop leaders in geometrical proportions on the global stage. I just released my book which is available on print and other online channels such as Amazon and Okadabooks.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The title of my book is Leadership GOT BORN – A practical toolkit for aspiring leaders and mentors. It is a literary work borne out of over three decades of experience in academia and industry. The original material developed further into a book have been tested and proven in mentoring sessions with my mentees with outstanding results. In particular, the last chapter of the book comprises of useful nuggets from seasoned mentors, taught leaders and senior executives in diverse industries.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
My unique writing style took after my innate ability to adapt acronyms and mnemonics for expounding leadership (and management) philosophies. This helps readers retain the principles being taught and makes it easy for them to practice and teach others.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
There are many leadership books that shaped my worldview. Some of my favorite authors are J.C Maxwell, Myles Munroe, Stephen Covey, Robin Sharma and Simon Sinek to mention but few.
What are you working on now?
I am in the process of writing the layout for my next leadership book. It promises to inspire productivity and foster personal effectiveness of anyone who engages the book.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Since the book was released online on Amazon and Okadabooks, I have relied on self-promotion of the printed version comprising of hardcover and paperback copies until I found Awesome Gang via Google search engine. For now, Awesome Gang is my best bet in terms of book promotion.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Yes, new authors should seek advise from book coaches or frontline authors to avoid pitfalls. Every step of the way in book publishing is crucial hence require intentional focus and discipline to execute.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
A book released without adequate promotion is not different from that which has never been published. Taking ones’ book from obscurity to the lime-light require effective and efficient promotion or marketing.
What are you reading now?
Leadership GOT BORN of course. I am so fascinated about the project and the eventual product that I can’t keep away from the wisdom and life transforming contents of the latest leadership book in town.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Having released this book successfully, I see nothing stopping me from releasing many more to benefit humanity on the journey to achieving my objective of touching lifes positively on a global scale.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The following books will be my companion – 1. Leadership GOT BORN, 2. The Bible (King James Version), 3. Hymn Book and 4. The manuscripts of my new book.
