About Anchor Points: Uplift by Scott Martin
In a near future parallel timeline, a child of an illegal super soldier program has prophetic visions of a hostile first contact going very wrong for a politically divided world. His quest as a young man to escape his fate and instead seek to change the fate of mankind might be doomed from the start. If he can succeed, it would be at what cost?
Ten bloody years after politically unifying under a world federal government, the United Terran Republic Navy chases the last remnants of the alien threat from their strongholds in the asteroid belt. What they uncover in their search has implications that could shake history to its very roots and will determine the very odds of mankind’s survival.
How much of our lives are determined by our actions and how much by fate? Who is Joshua Warden – tyrant, traitor, prophet, or savior?
Anchor Points is a tale told across two timelines that will eventually converge at the end of a planned trilogy. Author Bio:
Just a regular guy with a million words bursting from his skull working his way through a thousand hours of research to feed his boundless curiosity. I have spent five years building this universe, and I am so very excited to be able to share it with the world. I love a good space opera, in books and story driven video game universes such as Halo and Mass Effect, or in novels such as the Commonwealth Saga or classics like Ender’s Game among many more.
In short, I am writing the story I most desperately wanted to read, and because I have a curious pair of munchkins to feed. Anything over and above that will be socked away or invested to hopefully one day put this to film, and to support causes that support the mutual uplift of all mankind.
