About And Trouble Followed
This historical fiction is set in 1868. Four Union soldiers, two white and two black, are finally discharged from the Union army. They struggle with saying goodbye to each other having bonded over their war experiences. They leave to head to different parts of the country to start their lives anew, but in a country torn by disunion, trouble follows. The book was named a finalist for the Eric Hoffer Award and the Faulkner/William Wisdom Creative Writing Award.

Author Bio:
I am a retired lawyer and teacher. For the last few years I have hosted a radio show on WRBH in New Orleans called the Writers' Forum where I have interviewed authors and songwriters about their craft. When not at the radio station I volunteer at my local food bank and during the school year tutor 1st and 2nd graders in reading.
