Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am an action/adventure thriller novelist. I write the kind of books I love to read. Fast paced and action packed with a touch of romance and a dash of humor. I have eight thrillers currently available in print and eBook formats. My ninth is due to release this month on April 25, 2017.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest thriller will release on April 25. Voice of Vengeance is the third volume of my fantasy thriller series, Kingdom of Destiny. The series is my first dip into the fantasy genre. I was inspired to create my own alternate world featuring epic castles and daring warriors. I saw a picture of a towering castle in Europe and immediately began wondering who would have lived there. And so the Kingdom of Destiny was born.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I believe each writer has his or her own system. I’m not sure if this is unusual or not, but I do tend to hit a point in each first draft where my story takes a drastic turn. My plot can sometimes change completely, and I have to try again from the beginning.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I have always loved the characters that come from the imagination of Nora Roberts. She writes amazing, believable characters you love immediately. I also love the way Dan Brown can weave a conspiracy. Masterful.
What are you working on now?
I am currently writing a time travelling thriller.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I have found Amazon to be the best route for me personally to this point.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Rejection is inevitable. The most important thing for you to do is just keep writing. You will improve with each attempt.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Writers write. If you want to be a writer, keep writing, and you have accomplished your goal.
What are you reading now?
I’m currently reading a romantic thriller by Melinda Leigh on my Kindle.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I hope to continue to grow as a writer and continue to write. If one day I make it to that coveted New York Times Bestseller list, I would be ecstatic.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Bible, Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, Three Fates by Nora Roberts, and Temple by Matthew Reilly.
