Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a Scottish guy, living in the suburbs of Paris with my wife and two daughters.
I’ve written one book so far, “The Witch’s List”, and am hard at work on the second one – in what I plan to be a trilogy.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
“The Witch’s List” – a horror/mystery/coming-of-age novel I wrote it in 2014-2015 – about fifteen years after a memorable one-month visit to the Ivory Coast in 1999. The book is inspired by some of the experiences and stories which I heard out there, and also by my experiences of growing up in Scotland and moving to France where I’ve lived/worked most of my adult life.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write a lot on my mobile phone – on my commute to work.
I also keep a daily personal diary.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
– Paul Auster
– Iain Banks
– Tahir Shah
– Eowyn Ivey
– Kazuo Ishiguro
What are you working on now?
Book 2 in “The Witch’s List” trilogy. Title is top secret, but the action will take place in Europe and North Africa.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?

170 likers so far! Hope you will join them!
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Just get stuck in! Write your book, get it published or self-publish it, spread the word, and try to ignore any detractors or nay-sayers.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
A story must have a beginning, a middle and an end. Other than that, use your imagination. There are no limits!
What are you reading now?
“The Buried Giant” by Kazuo Ishiguro.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Complete my second book and get it published. Attend some more events in bookstores, libraries, and festivals.

“The New York Trilogy” – Paul Auster
“The Wasp Factory” – Iain Banks
“Sorcerer’s Apprentice” – Tahir Shah
“Never Let Me Go” – Kazuo Ishiguro
