Interview With Author Andrew Pacholyk
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
My name is Andrew Pacholyk is a licensed acupuncturist (NY, FL), board certified herbalist, and master healer with over 20 years of experience in the field of alternative medicine. I have written three books.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Pearls of Light: passion, poetry & positive affirmations. This book came out of a demand from my patients who were looking for a handy little reference guide filled with positive affirmations and little life remedies.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
It really depends on the book. Sometimes, I write in sequence of chapters, but usually I piece everything together.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Louise Haye, Wayne Dyer, Andrew Weil.
What are you working on now?
A psychological thriller series. In ways It’s a departure from my genre, but in someway it also takes a look at how the mind works, which intrigues me.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Going broad, seems to work best. Amazon is important for the sheer amount of readers but reaching out to as many options as possible finds you a variety of other new connections.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write about what you love and have a passion for. Learn your craft. Be open to all possibilities.
What works for one author or genre may not work for another. Be persistent!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
You are a unique individual with yoir own set of stories and experiences. People can learn from your passions and insights. Don’t be afraid to share.
What are you reading now?
The Pit and the Pendulum.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I am fully engrossed in writing the second book in my new series.
