Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
After telling myself I wanted to write a book for far too long, I finally took the plunge last year. I finished 2018 with 2 published books and am currently sitting on 13 books total, under 2 pen names.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is the 3rd installment of the Millicent Series, called Full Circle. The first in the series was one I wrote for my wife, a lot of the details being things she loves in life such as Christmas and baby goats.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
My friends find it strange that I’m able to write 3 or 4 books at once, able to transit from one to the other with little downtime or rereading.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Stephen King has always been at my forefront for reading.
What are you working on now?
Full Circle as we all as a couple of books under my other pen name.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
This one, of course ๐
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Do it. Don’t talk about it sit around waiting for something to happen. You’ll be waiting a long time. Just do it already.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“Never give up” is irrelevant if you never begin.
What are you reading now?
11/22/63 again.
What’s next for you as a writer?
After finishing my first series, I’m beginning a new one that involves something that touches a lot of people: breast cancer. My new series is about a young mum that is diagnosed and given months to live. She finds an old diary back from her school days, and after reading through it, finds that none of her friends achieved the goals they’d had back in school. So she sets about to change that. The first in the series is called “How to Say Goodbye” and I can already feel my emotions bettering me as I think about writing it. It will definitely be a tear-jerker.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
11/22/63
The Stand
Ready Player One
and because I’ve heard everyone should read it- Lord of the Rings.
