Interview With Author Anita Nipane
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m a nonfiction author and content strategist who helps writers use AI to plan, write, and publish books faster—without losing their voice. I’ve written several books on self-publishing, book marketing, and AI-assisted writing systems.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is Books That Sell Themselves. It was inspired by watching talented authors struggle—not with ideas, but with strategy. I wanted to show that writing a book isn’t the hard part; positioning it for sales and long-term impact is where success happens.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I outline with AI using prompt chains and deep research to validate my topic and its demand. Then I edit manually, making sure my ideas and voice are implemented correctly.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I’ve been shaped by authors who blend practical strategy with clear frameworks, including Pat Flynn, David Gaughran, and Meera Kothand. Their work showed me that publishing isn’t just about writing—it’s about building systems that turn books into assets.
What are you working on now?
I’m building a suite of AI-powered resources for nonfiction authors—courses, templates, and tools that simplify everything from outlining to publishing.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
My email list is the most effective channel. Social media may bring attention, but email builds trust—and trust sells books.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Writing isn’t enough. You need an audience and a plan. Treat your book like a digital product, not a passion project. Test your ideas early, collect reader feedback, and build a platform before you hit publish.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“Books don’t make money—businesses built around books do.” Once I understood that, everything changed.
What are you reading now?
I’m diving into books on creator-led publishing, digital entrepreneurship, and AI adoption trends in authorship.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Scaling my AI-Smart nonfiction system into a complete ecosystem of books, templates, and training programs so authors can turn their expertise into assets, not just manuscripts.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Atomic Habits by James Clear for structure, Show Your Work by Austin Kleon for creative sanity, and a comprehensive survival guide—because inspiration is great, but staying alive is even better.
