Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
BLing writer, poet, playwright, authopreneur.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
“Sofija i Kasije” (Serbian for Sophia and Cassius). I’d rather keep my inspiration as a private thing. All I can say is that my novel could be also seen as Quo Vadis prequel.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I am a writer – with no other “serious” jobs to interrupt me.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Ultimately, Quo Vadis, by Henryk Sienkiewicz. Most geniusly written historical fiction ever. And, lately, Witcher Saga by Andrzej Sapkowski.
What are you working on now?
A kind of spin-off for my novel.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
For my first prose book I used free promo platforms.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don’t listen to others. Just do your job. God surely has the way for those gifted by Him.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
If you’re born a writer, write. Let mediocrity dwell on its farms and factories, and f***ing write, for it’s your mission. My best friend said so.
What are you reading now?
Selected poetry of Yannis Ritsos and Garcia Lorca – in the original.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Love is the most important thing for a writer. Then comes friendship, and art.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Some fantasy novels, I guess.
