Annapurna Debnath is a well-known poetess from Kolkata, India. She is a high school student and presently pursuing her interest in Journalism for higher education, yet her massive interest in the field of Literature has
never diminished over the years which is the ultimate push for the birth of her two books,
“January Of 2017 : A Collection Of Memories In
The Form Of Poems” and “Dard-E-Dil: The Pain Of The Heart”. Her interests are multifarious – from her own
academic subject to being a person of art, she is also a trained classical Bharatnatyam dancer, Indian classical singer, calligrapher and book reviewer. She has worked for a news company earlier, and besides that, she loves animals, baking, recitation and most importantly, being an avid
listener.
Hailing from a Bengali family which has deep interest in Urdu Literature, the poetess gradually developed her love for Urdu language by listening to well-known Urdu poets, ghazals
and watching multiple films scripted in Urdu language. Some of her favourite poets are Mirza Ghalib, Rahat Induri, Jan-E-Janan, Qayem
Chandpuri and Nazeer Akbarabadi.
