About Another Day in the Algarve by Johnsie St Clare
The best place on the planet to move to and spend a comfortable retirement. The weather’s great, the people are welcoming, and the climate is mild. The country is relatively cheap, and you can idle away the hours quite pleasantly.
The author found that magic spot by testing the water first, living in the country for a couple of years, and then taking the plunge to create his dream home.
But how did the dream work out? After all, it started well enough. But what went wrong? Did anything go wrong, or did the author simply adapt, and if so, how?
Another Day in the Algarve takes you on Clare’s interesting journey, documenting both the highs and the pitfalls of relocating to Portugal.
The journey is amusing, irritating, in places idyllic, and in others rather unusual.
And I’ve been here ever since, that’s almost 25 years, so I really do know what it’s like.

Author Bio:
I have visited over eighty countries, and had permanent residences in over a dozen. So I am used to living in different places.
Much of my childhood was spent in Spain, and my book The Last Troubadour is Volume 1 of a series on my time spent there.
But for the past 25 years I have lived happily in the Algarve, and at the moment it is turning out to be the best place to be in Europe.
