Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m from the Dominican Republic, since i was little i love picture books and after working as a copywriter for almost 8 years in several Dominican advertising agencies, i decided to start making picture books because while doing it, i could work with both images and writing, i could create ideas and help make the world be a better place.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is “SuperKids”, its a book about friendship, love, inclusion, respect and diversity. It was inspired by my nephew who is autistic.
Its a book that highlights the positive in others, showing what kids with special needs CAN do instead of what they cannot do. It helps us see the world different, and see ourselves different, encouraging children into finding their own super powers.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write everything, every idea. Even the silly ones..
I use my phone to write when i’m not in the computer, i make notes with any idea that comes to mind while i’m sleeping or in a car.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
As i said before, i love picture books. My favorite authors are Peter H Reynolds, Oliver Jeffers, Amy Krouse Rosenthal, Birgitta Sif, Eric Litwin, Julia Donaldson, Dr. Seuss and many others!
What are you working on now?
I’m working on a book about saving money.
It’s a book without money at all that shows children how cool can it be something when we prepare for it and think about it, and work to make it the best way we can.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I use everything! Facebook, Intagram, Twitter and i also make lots of school presentations. I think that’s the best way to promote a book, because the audience it’s right there and they can get the book and have it signed.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Mmmm..
Dare to make your dreams come true. It’s hard but it’s a wonderful journey!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
That it has not been done before, does not mean it wont work.

What’s next for you as a writer?
To be able to do what i do in the Dominican Republic in other countries.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Ohh god!
