About Artifice: Book Two of the Prison Ship Sheol Saga
“The Prison Ship Sheol Saga follows the adventures of Vahkis Greye, a newly graduated Systems Repair Technologist who finds himself trapped aboard a converted Megalith class supercarrier in the middle of a galactic war. Within his first hour onboard, the ship’s crew is KIA, its controlling AI malfunctions and then self-deletes, and the ship itself is rammed by the dying flagship of the enemy fleet that attacked it. Things only go downhill from there.
Of the original one hundred thousand or so souls aboard, only a tenth remain after the battle and unfortunately for Greye, none of them are particularly inclined to help him out. Quite the opposite, in fact. In a universe where the human race had violently splintered along gender lines more than a century passed, the Sheol had been decommissioned and converted into a prison ship that was meant to be the final involuntary residence and resting place for every single one of the most dangerous female criminals within the 10,000+ star systems of the Bedlam Galaxy.
Surrounded by violent gangs of murderous inmates, demonized and hounded by both sides of a brutal war of extinction across the stars and planets of Bedlam, and welcomed pretty much nowhere within the galactic spiral, Greye will have to call on all of his experiences growing up and surviving in the far-star space stations, outer-system asteroid mines, and deep space hauler lanes of the galactic rim, as well as his newly acquired SRT tools and skill sets in order to find a way to survive and perhaps even thrive as the universe’s most wanted man. While he may or may not be up to tackling such a gargantuan task, he is very certain about one thing.
He absolutely cannot do it alone.
In addition to bawdy action-filled adventures and criminal hijinks, this series contains depictions of strange, alien morality and cultural norms, as well as relationships that could be considered non-traditional… for humans. Consider yourself either fore-warned or fore-tempted. Just don’t whack me with a bad review because you thought this was going to be a YA novel.”
