About Ash and Truth
After hearing the Mad Poet Sage speak, Ash’s longing for truth is set alight. Leaving the town behind, he embarks on a journey both deeply personal and universal – every encounter along the way drawing him further into the reality of who he is. At last, he reaches the edge of the world, only to discover that what lies beyond is not what he expected.
More than a story, Ash and Truth is a world to enter. Its style distils the complexities of personal, social, spiritual, and psychological themes into single lines and phrases – each containing life and insight. Nearly every line stands alone – like Ash – while remaining part of the story as a whole.
Lovers of The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran or Thus Spoke Zarathustra by Nietzsche will resonate with this book, as will those drawn to exploring the nature of self and reality.
Every step, every breath, carries something to be seen, felt, and known.

Author Bio:
Ben is a writer, musician and explorer of truth, creativity and the essence of things. Hailing from a small northern town, his work bridges the raw vitality of everyday life with the depth of spiritual exploration.
Since doing gymnastics as a boy, Ben’s music, writing, and lived experience has been visceral, felt and energetic. This gives roots to his interest in the true nature of life and reality, which has been there since he can remember. It also grounds the poetic and esoteric nature of his work in the pulse of ordinary human life.
His creative journey has taken many forms – first through music, from the raw energy of his band *Northern Beats* to the more emotional nature of his solo work, and now through writing, where he explores the nature of truth, love, and experience.
His work is based in experience, not beliefs or theories, and aims to traverse the gap between experience and its living, breathing, felt essence. And, importantly, between his work and those who encounter it.
Ben is now based in Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire, where he enjoys trips to the park with his young son, training in the gym and amazing food. After years of intense creative and spiritual enquiry, he finds joy in simplicity and loves to infuse vast themes with everyday delight.
