Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I write Horror fiction and have released one previous book, A Christmas Tale, and am releasing a second book, Letters To The Damned, on October 1st. I have a Dystopian series in progress.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Letters To The Damned was inspired by a comment a friend made about black post boxes in England. Black always brings thoughts of supernatural phenomena and the story fell into place.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I sit, I write.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Many and varied. I love Classics so I strive for a literary voice in my writing, while staying true to genre.
What are you working on now?
With the release of Letters To The Damned at hand, I’m writing a few short stories and turning my ayyention to a Dystopian series I’ve had in mind.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I’m still finding my feet on promotion, trying different things.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Edit. Get someone else to proof-read.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
That a writer must experience something of life before they really have anything to write about.
What are you reading now?
I read several books concurrently. I’m starting to read the Tiers series by Philip Jose Farmer and also reading some classic Horror in honor of Halloween.
What’s next for you as a writer?
The series. I’ve had it rumbling around in my mind for a while now and have written many notes about characters and plot. I hope to have the first book available early in the new year.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Long ones or practical ones. Definitely The Great Book of Amber by Roger Zelazny. I could get lost in that series for a long time.
