Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a true romantic who likes nothing more than to walk at night under the light of the moon and stars. I find inspiration in the hearts of those less fortunate and use that inspiration to craft stories that will make your heart melt. I am married to my childhood sweetheart who I love unconditionally and together we have a gorgeous young girl and are the happy carers of two puppies and a fully grown cat. I write in my pajamas and usually before the sun comes up. 69 INCHES OF STEEL is my first published work.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The idea for 69 INCHES OF STEEL originated when I came across a review of Fifty Shades of Grey and thought, “I CAN do better.” In that moment, the angels blessed me with an idea. 69 INCHES OF MAN. That was the original title. Not bad, but not great. It needed something else. Something…strong. Something…seductive. It needed Jonathon Steel. It soon got it and it went from 69 INCHES OF MAN to 69 INCHES OF STEEL and a whole series was born. 69 INCHES OF STEEL was released in late July and 69 INCHES AND RISING is coming on the first day of September. 69 INCHES OF LIGHT is due out in late October.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
It seems that writing in my pajamas is not as unusual as I thought lol
What authors, or books have influenced you?
After my husband and daughter, Dean Koontz is my one true love.
What are you working on now?
The third book in the trilogy, 69 INCHES OF LIGHT. It is most likely the final chapter in the 69 INCHES story.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I promote one way or another by way of the usual suspects ie Twitter, Facebook, Goodreads etc. I’m not sure which ones work and which ones don’t so until proof comes one way or another I will continue promoting on all of them.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Read, read, and read some more. Then write, write, write. It really is as simple as that.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Read, read, and read some more. Then write, write, write. It really is as simple as that.
What are you reading now?
Secret Window, Stephen King.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Once the 69 INCHES books are completed and published, I will be getting to work on BAD MOON RISING: THE RESURRECTION OF ELIZABETH BATHORY which will be published on or about August 14, 2014, the 400th anniversary of Elizabeth’s death.
What is your favorite book of all time?
The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by Stephen King is a stand-out for its emotional power. Dean Koontz’s body of work appeals most to me though.
