About Azimuth
“We desperately reach for the stars because death pulls at our feet.”
After facing extinction from the misuse of nanotechnology in the early twenty-second century, humanity was saved by the Azimuth: a powerful quantum computer which enables consciousness immortality and rebirth. Connected through brain-computer interfaces, the same survivors have lived for three centuries in technological protopias free of conflict, suffering, and the fear of death. Ada Lovell, one of the proud creators of the Azimuth, is confident that this technology is the answer to humanity’s enduring future.
But when an existential threat emerges, unimaginable horrors force her to venture beyond the sanctuary of her city and her convictions. Ada and Buckyball, her bioengineered horse, must race against this menace to ensure humanity’s fate. However, the world outside is not what she’s been led to believe, and what awaits her within the bowels of the Azimuth is beyond her comprehension or control.

Author Bio:
The story of Elayne Griffith is a long and winding one, as are most creative paths, but passion has always driven her into the challenging unknown. She began bushwacking through the dense jungles of writing and publishing ten years ago. After a decade of learning (and battling perfectionism), several award-winning short stories, and a script for one of the top exercise apps Zombies Run, she launched her career with her debut sci-fi novel, AZIMUTH, soon to be followed by her YA fantasy series, THE SHIELDED REALMS.
Her passions sculpt her writing with themes of existentialism, philosophy, and consciousness in her science fiction, and toxic relationships, self-growth, and humor in her YA novels. Not to mention, horses and unicorns. Actually, it's all about still processing Artax's death in the Neverending Story.
She currently writes while traveling the country with her husband (a professional juggler) in their converted van, the Millennial Falcon.
