Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Azra is an author of two books.Her first book namely Tearful Pages talks about crimes against women Azra mufti came up with her second book Shattered Dreams which is a fiction novel and deals with the young generation of the valley. Apart from her writings, Azra has also done her contributions in the field of social work. She is the first kashmiri girl to have written a novel on mental illness.she has acted as a resource person for various legal awareness programmes in collaboration with National Commission for women and worked for the uplifment of the society by educating the youth. She has delivered number of lectures at various colleges and schools to foster education among youth. She is an active campaigner for mental health issues and has given talk shows on all the leading radio, FM and TV stations of Kashmir. Besides this, she has visited a number of schools and colleges to foster education and creativity among youth.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
SYNOPSIS OF MY BOOK “SHATTERED DREAMS”
This book talks about two young girls who are ambitious, independent and intelligent. It revolves around their lives unveiling different perspectives of their life. Asma and Aiza meet unexpectedly and develop a very strong bond. Being born and brought up in a conflict zone Kashmir, they find their lives tangled in dreams, desires and fear. It is just one of those lazy days when a shocking revelation about Asma is made which turns their lives upside down. This book talks about mental illness like never before and how it can break and shake you from within. Shattered Dreams takes us on a journey of dreams and desires that often get shattered by a thing called life!
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
i am not a discplined writer, I can go without writing for days or write a book in a day, depends!

Anything I read leaves an impact on me especially Robin Sharma, Lewis Carrol, Mitch Albom, Arundhati Roy or Dan Brown
