June, 1984 – On the remote island of Inea, the militia has outlawed all magic.

Author Bio:
J. Cabral-Jackson is a medic with a Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Manchester, studying under Professor Jeanette Winterson, Geoff Ryman and Ian McGuire. She was a finalist in the NYC Midnight Screenwriting Competition and Pulp Idol Novel Competition.
