Beast and Burden is a blend of horror fiction and Christian faith designed to be read and enjoyed in one weekend.

The story gives a futuristic look at Louisville, Kentucky, USA, after a plague ends all human life on the surface of the Earth. Survivors emerge from their shelter on a life-changing mission to determine if the planet can and should be inhabited again.

What they find is shocking and deadly. Beasts hunt by night, and our survivors must evolve or die.

Author Bio:
Kevin Kane is a husband and father. He served one enlistment in the United States Air Force as a weather observer, and that is where he began a hobby of creative writing. Over the years, Kevin has written for state governors and judges and in global business as a public affairs expert.

Beast & Burden is Kevin’s second book. He authored On the Bayou in 2017 and gave up creative writing not long after. But his wife brought him back. They often play Scrabble, and the love of putting words together slowly came back to him.

In addition to authoring fiction, Kevin writes for Detroit Jock City and Michigan Sports Media on everything from NFL football to women’s college basketball to fantasy football. You might also find items he’s published in a handful of other news outlets.
