Interview With Author Billy J. Barnum
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Four books to date and I never know if there are any more to come or not.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Broken Little Pieces New Tales from The Baron. I write down what comes into my head and when there is enough for a book I release it to the world!
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Write it down or lose if forever.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
None.
What are you working on now?
I just write what pops in my head as soon as it does. I always think my last book is my last book I will publish. When it starts flowing again I write it down and slowly but surely start thinking about the title, the cover, and what it could look and be like.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Facebook is up there but Twitter which is “X” now seems to be my go to since I have almost 30,000 followers and counting.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write it down and if you think it’s good enough release it and take a leap of faith.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“You gotta do something with that” after reciting one of my epic poems.
What are you reading now?
Nothing exciting just the daily events.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Keep chugging along and see what comes next.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Guinness Book of World Records whatever else I can grab before being suddenly stranded. 🙂
