About Bleeding Light, Prophecy of Hope Book 3
Announcing the release of the latest volume of the award-winning Prophecy of Hope Saga, Bleeding Light, Prophecy of Hope Book 3, continuing the story of an ancient evil, a promised king, and a world besieged.
All of history has come to this pivotal moment and the fate of a child conceived by mysterious circumstances when flame falls from the sky disrupting the rising Darkness. Every eye is drawn to the great light and beneath it, lies a kingdom in chaos.
Empty throne, fallen crown and broken scepter are all that remains of the great Empire of Light. From Nudhug to Armahad, the marked bones of the Caladrius kings have all been stripped of their promise, and crumbled to dust. The kingdom of Men is in chaos though one remains. The despotic heir, Liacin Caladrius, has given himself wholly to Sgarrwrath for promises of power beyond that of any man before. Yet Liacin’s bones are broken and maligned, their promise all but gone, twisted to the will of the ancient evil who was cursed so long ago to formless darkness. Sgarrwrath is the ancient evil who has spent millenia trying to overcome his curse, one stolen piece of life at a time– the eyes of Dullahan, the heart of Arawn, the bones of Liacin, and one stolen drop of Mhorag’s golden blood…
Sgarrwrath’s ultimate prize is none other than the one who cursed him so long ago, Mhorag, the Living Flame, one of the Everliving. With Liacin Caladrius, the Dark Possessed, whose bloodline is governed by prophecy, Sgarrwrath has risen in both power and substance, mounting closer to world-wide domination yet at the great light from the heavens, he knows how little it all means in the face of what has come. And when Arkinn Highgrail, the Markless Son, nephew of Liacin, bears the Golden Brand, all know that the true and Promised King has come, and it is not the Dark Possessed. Nor has the Promised come in any way they expect.
By some twist of prophecy, Mhorag has come down into a world of darkness, and taken an unexpected form. The form of a child, robed not in the glorious flame of old, but in vulnerable, human flesh, in the womb of Sian Seela. Why? That is the question that plagues Sgarrwrath as together he and Liacin seek to claim the Promised whose very existence threatens Liacin’s weakening claim to the All-Important Throne, and Sgarrwrath’s ultimate dominion. Sgarrwrath sets his focus unwaveringly upon the infant, forgetting all else. In some ways, Mhorag seems diminished and yet Sgarrwrath can still sense too much life, power… everything he has ever desired and suddenly Mhorag appears to be in reach. His ancient plot forces him to face his highest desire and his greatest fear veiled within that mysterious, unborn child whom he seeks to take before Mhorag can be born upon the earth, but something stands in his way. Both a prophecy and a curse.
Others, led by Arkinn Highgrail, also look to the child. To protect him. To serve him. To worship him. Joined by the Guardians breaching the stronghold of darkness to fly to the child, the Source of their flame come to earth. And soon the battle lines of a timeless war are redrawn, this time upon the earth, held in the grip of Sgarrwrath’s own dark soul. And Sgarrwrath must face the hardest question of all his existence thus far. Has he risen far enough for all his emptiness to take all that promised life for his own?

Secretly wishing for my own wings to fly, I instead spill my heart upon the age. I have been writing stories for nearly as long as I can remember, and each word is a beat of my heart. I have taken courses with the Institute of Children's Literature and Long Ridge Writer's Group (now known as the Institute for Writers). I live firmly planted to earth in a small town in Pennsylvania with my family, including a fabulous clowder of cats, while giving wings to the imaginary friends in my head, the result of which is the ongoing Prophecy of Hope Saga. So let the dragons fly, and let the saga continue!
