Interview With Author Bonaventure U. Bonaventure U. Ezelagu
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m a digital entrepreneur, SEO strategist, and business consultant originally from Nigeria, now based in Milan. Monetize Your Audience is my first book—though I’ve produced hundreds of SEO guides and marketing courses. I help creators and coaches build profitable audiences without fluff.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Monetize Your Audience was inspired by seeing so many talented creators struggle to turn attention into income. I wanted to create a simple, action-based roadmap—so people could stop getting likes and start earning.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write only in cafés—Italian espresso fuels my creativity. Whenever a cappuccino trickles cold, it’s my cue to pause and reflect before finishing a chapter.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I’m deeply influenced by Gary Vaynerchuk’s realness and “The War of Art” by Steven Pressfield—his message of fighting internal resistance has shaped my writing mindset.
What are you working on now?
I’m developing a companion workbook with templates, prompts, and one-page monetization plans to help readers implement the book’s strategies immediately.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
My blog, Afrimasterweb.com, plays a key role—plus community posts on Facebook groups like Bonabecks and organic SEO articles.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Start small and iterate. Launch a short, high-value guide—learn from how people respond, then build from there. Consistency beats perfection.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“Finish it.” Too often, ideas stay trapped in drafts. Ship your work, learn, then refine.
What are you reading now?
“Zero to One” by Peter Thiel—its entrepreneurial clarity helps me think beyond content to building real business systems.
What’s next for you as a writer?
A collection of case studies featuring creators who have successfully monetized their audiences—showing real lives changed.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Monetize Your Audience (so I don’t lose my mindset),
The War of Art (for creative perseverance),
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill (for deeper mindset strategies),
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho (for inspiration and wonder).
