Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
My name is Brandon True and I am very passionate about fitness and exercise. I have written one book so far but I plan on writing many more on the topic of personal fitness. My goal is to help others gain a deeper understanding of fitness to the point where they are able to easily sustain a very healthy lifestyle through proper exercise and an enjoyable meal plan.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My last book was also my first book and it is called “The Six Pack Secrets Nobody Wants You To Know”. I was inspired to write this after seeing video after video on Youtube claiming to have the miracle solution to obtaining a six pack. I decided I wanted to set the record straight and tell people the truth when it comes to getting a six pack which is what I did with this book.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I’ve been told my personality comes out in my writing. I try to write as if I was explaining the information to someone in person because I feel it comes across the best when explained as you would to a friend.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Dean Koontz is a big inspiration to me although I am writing in a completely different genre. Apart from him my other biggest inspiration is a Youtuber and personal trainer named Jeff Cavalier.
What are you working on now?
I am working on follow up books to help others create balanced workouts, correctly balance their intake of nutrients for the healthiest body, helping people with the mental aspect of exercise and developing proper habits, and hopefully eventually get into writing about sports.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Right now I have little promotion for my books as I am new to writing.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Being a new author I don’t believe I have any real insight for new authors other than if you write with passion people with notice you.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“When you want to succeed as badly as you want to breathe, then you will be successful.”
What are you reading now?
Mind Gym by Gary Mack
What’s next for you as a writer?
I hope to promote my first book and see where it goes from there!
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Any 3 or 4 books by Dean Koontz, seriously I could read his books on repeat for years.
