Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m a YA Author of Paranormal Suspense. Recently, I branched out to publish my first YA Mystery. I have a total of 11 published novels.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Murder Is A Debate.
I love mysteries and while at work one day (I work at a library) I was inspired by a group of girls who were sitting around debating about something at school. Dominos started to fall and six months later, Murder Is A Debate was finished.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
As long as I have comfy pants on, I’m good to go.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Oh gosh, Quinn Loftis, Casey Bond, Jo Michaels, Karen McManus, Kara Thomas and so many more!
What are you working on now?
I have two WIP happening right now.
One is a psychological thriller about three sisters living in one body. One is a killer, but which one is it?
The other is the fourth book to my ghost hunters series called Deep in the Darkness. It is set to release in October.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
There’s a method? Why do I not know about this method thing? Just kidding. Honestly, I try to stay on top of sending out a Newsletter on time at the first of every month. I also set up promotions ahead of time for when a book is set to release. My “method” isn’t always the best, but with a changing market, I am constantly learning something new.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Be ruthless in the pursuit of your dreams. Practice makes perfect and the more you write, the better you are going to get. Connect with bloggers and authors. Learn from them but also come up with your own ideas and don’t second guess yourself when going after them. The rules are constantly changing because someone dared to change them.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Just keep writing. The more you write, the more you have out there. The more you have out there, the more you will get recognized.
What are you reading now?
Dead Ringer by Stacey Rourke
What’s next for you as a writer?
The NY Best Sellers list. Until then, I’m going to keep word vomiting and making the magic happen. When it does happen, the magic will continue because I could never imagine life without writing. I’ve been writing since I was seven-years-old. It’s what I do.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
This question, I tell you I think I answer it different every time because I am always finding new books I fall in love with.
For sure the best of Edgar Allen Poe.
Misery by Stephen King.
Lover Awakened by J.R. Ward. Obviously, I’m going to need some steam if I’m abandoned alone. Is the boxed set allowed? Lol. No, but seriously?
