Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am an IT specialist, Businessman, and also an author. I have published 3 books so far. My catalogue sketches across many sectors, including business, romance, adventure and mental health. All my writing is usually inspired by my experiences, observations and also by some principles that I have been taught. My debut book is a romance and obsession book titled ‘To My Crush’, then my second book is an adventure and mystery fiction titled, ‘wonders will never end’. then my third book is a business and financial literacy book titled ‘Business Acumen’.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is a business and financial literacy book titled ‘Business Acumen’. This book was inspired by my own experiences in the business field and also the need to help anyone who wants to start a business that will yield success. this book guides the reader through writing a business plan, executing business strategies, presenting a business idea, starting a business, and appealing to lenders for financial assistance. It also instills critical thinking, problem-solving, data analysis, and organizational skills principles in the reader’s mind.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Yes. I usually voice record my ideas and relisten to them whilst I’m writing. it helps me fall in line with my initial idea. I also eat a lot during the course of writing. It helps me think lucidly. A happy stomach is equal to a happy brain!
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Growing up I used to read Enid Blyton’s books. my favorite was ‘Secret Seven’. I always love the mystery contained in the books and how it all unfolded. ‘Secret Seven’ definitely inspired my second book ‘Wonders Will Never End’. I wrote a mystery that unraveled as unexpected as how ‘Secret Seven’ did.
What are you working on now?
I’m currently working on a book titled, ‘I Saw The Devil’. This book is a mental health and self-help guide. It tackles issues like depression, anxiety, loneliness, suicidal thoughts, self-hate, and the art of self-love. In this book, I explore how mental health and social issues are like a journey through hell and I also define the devil as anything that stands in your road to progress.
I wrote this book with hopes that it will help someone to realize that we are bigger than the picture the world paints us to be. Regardless of what problems we face, we come out strong because we embody greatness.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I usually promote my books on my social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter) and also on Amazon. But I recently put my books on my official website because I needed readers to be able to read my books offline if they don’t have internet.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
My advice to new authors would be: Keep writing! Your books are your legacy. One day the offsprings of your offsprings will want to know your perspective and advice on different sectors of life, and if you are not there to talk, your books will do the talking for you.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
You only fail when you stop trying.
What are you reading now?
I’ve been writing a lot these days, I have not read too many books in a while. but the last book I read is a small book called ‘ Minute Motivations’. It was very uplifting.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I will be releasing more books. So I would like to write more books and share my perspective and ideas with the world. I believe we all learn from each other. I also partnered with Amazon for a short series book that I wrote in 2017 and shelved.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
-My debut book ‘To My Crush’ will be my first option because, whenever I read that book I feel like I am floating somewhere out of this world.
-Then ‘Secret Seven’ by Enid Blyton. It would help me figure out ways to get help
-Then my other book ‘I Saw The Devil’. This book will uplift and keep me calm.
