What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
“Finding Your Peace: the Magic of Living Here and Now; Five Decades Exploring Inner Space” was inspired by my life, the magic I experienced at times, and the feeling that I also have with my music that I have something relevant to say. The music says it but is ambiguous. The book was very satisfying to get these thoughts and feelings written down
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
With this last book, yes, I wrote small sections over the last few years not knowing they would coalesce into a book. The final book came together in just a few months
What authors, or books have influenced you?
“Hear Yourself” by Prem Rawat, the writings of Kabir to name a couple off the top of my head.
What are you working on now?
A book on creativity, but I’ve had to put it on hold for a little while.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I don’t know I’m new to this.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
If you have something worth saying – just do it. Don’t worry about getting it perfect; you never will.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
What you’re looking for is within you.
What are you reading now?
I’m between books but I just finished a children’s book in the Putney Hicks series by Marsha Tufts that I enjoyed.
What’s next for you as a writer?
The creativity book is started at least the outline is almost done, but I’ve put it on hold while I finish moving into a new house, and spending some time on the Chicaguy’s next album.
