Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
The first eighteen years of my life were spent growing up on a farm in White Sulphur Springs, NY. I attended Syracuse University and studied Aerospace Engineering, In April of 2010 I married my wonderful bride and what an adventure that has been!
In July of 2009 I published my first book and since have published a dozen others ranging from resume help and a cookbook, to several Christian Devotionals, and now several Science Fiction stories.
I’m returning to the childhood dreamer that I abandoned so long ago. To Ranger One and the Odyssey of Buck Rogers, The Palomino and Cygnus of The Black Hole and The United Planets Cruiser C-57D from Forbidden Planet. To Arrakis and Shani-Hulud, The Jupiter II and the Robinsons, and the infinite dreams of my childhood.
When I’m not writing, I like to cook, garden, hunt, fish, hike, go camping, just be in the outdoors, read, and ice hockey.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The Genesis Temple short story and it’s follow up novel The Genesis Codex (work in progress).
I’ve always been fascinated with archaeology and ancient civilizations. Over the years I’ve grown even more intrigued with more biblical and crypto-archaeology. The idea of ancient races of men who were more advanced than we are now fascinates me. Stories of Atlantis and Lemuria, and the Books of Enoch and Jasher along with the Stargate science fiction franchise are what have influenced these two works in The Progenitor Series!
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I have to be watching some interesting movie or TV show. Preferably science fiction in nature. Don’t ask me why but it helps me create.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Frank Herbert’s Dune Series
Isaac Asimov’s Foundation Series
James S.A. Cory’s The Expanse Series
A.G. Riddles Origin Mystery Series
What are you working on now?
The Genesis Codex the first full novel in the Progenitor Series.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I don’t know. Never had much success at that. I’m hoping it’ll be Awesome Gang!
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Just write. Whether you have to plot it all out first or you go by the seat of your pants, or a combination of the two; just write. Take care of everything else AFTER you finish writing it. That’s why it’s called a “ROUGH DRAFT.”
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Be who you are and do what you love, not who others want you to be or want you to do. if you don’t know what those things are, take some time and figure it out.
What are you reading now?
A work by a fellow author who is looking for my assistance in ghost writing.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Looking to make enough with my books so I can quit my Just Over Broke and write for a living.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
