Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Hello! As of writing this, I just put my first ever self published up for preorder. I’m a college student majoring in computer science. I play a bit of golf on the side as well.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Shattered Stars is the only book I’ve written thus far. I got the inspiration from reading many dragon stories on DeviantArt.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Not sure what’s considered unusual yet, so I’m gonna pass on this.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
There are a few authors on DeviantArt who have influenced me greatly, though I’ll keep their names anonymous for privacy reasons.
What are you working on now?
I am working on the sequel to Shattered Stars at the time of writing.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I post my writing on DeviantArt and Wattpad as well as the paid online stores. Getting my story out into the world is still my first priority.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Remember that humans have a 3-to-1 negativity bias. That means that for every 1 good thing we find in ourselves, we are compelled to find 3 bad things. Being aware of this fact is more than enough to lessen its negative effects.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Be afraid, then do it anyway.
What are you reading now?
I am currently awaiting Chris Fox’s next installment of the Magitech Chronicles, a perfect blend of fantasy and science fiction.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I have no freaking idea.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Gosh, probably books on lone survival. I’d be too freaked out to enjoy a good novel.
