Interview With Author Cadmium Antimony
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’ve written 3 books and 7 articles. Of the three books, only one has been published. I am an avid reader and writer and enjoy reading my own work. I want to give others the chance to enjoy my work too, by publishing and sharing my latest book.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is Commando Phoenix5: A Legend in the Making. It was inspired by my mother who initially gave me the idea to place my overactive imagination on paper. By the time I was halfway through, I had made up my mind to publish it, and eventually, I did.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
No, not that I can think of.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Anthony Horowitz and Ernest Cline are two writers I’m fond of and I enjoy reading their work. The writing is very engaging and I want to provide that same experience to my readers, so I guess you can say they’re my inspiration.
What are you working on now?
A book of poetry that will be titled: A Book of Miscellaneous Poetry.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Honestly, this is my first attempt at using a website to promote a book.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Never look back and work hard. Giving up is never worth it.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
David Goggins’ “Don’t focus on what you think you deserve. Take aim at what you are willing to earn.”
What are you reading now?
Unwind by Neal Shusterman
What’s next for you as a writer?
Taking a short break then returning to writing.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Mysterious Island, Robinson Crusoe, Around the World in Eighty Days, and Journey to the Center of the Earth
