Interview With Author Carol Gerges

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Gerges has had a lifelong dream of writing stories that satisfy a wide variety of genres, and her recent journey around the world inspired her to make her dream become a reality. Her first publication of a children’s book is a testament that she hopes inspires others to pursue their “alternative universes.”

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
“Buzz-Buzz: the bumblebee,” is a children’s book about a bumblebee that wants to be the best member of the hive, which is a dream that is possible with the help of family and friends. This book was inspired by Gerges’ lifelong commitment to becoming the best version of herself, but realizing that a person can only get so far on their own– it is their family and friends who can help carry them so much further than they can ever dream for themselves.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Gerges enjoys writing a story and “shelving” it for a minimum of a year, returning to it every so often to see whether the story still resonates with her.

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Amazon KDP publishing is a wonderful resource to publish books, and book-promoting sites are a great opportunity to help increase awareness for these stories.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Gerges encourages authors to write stories that resonate with them, stories that readers can feel a connection with because their authors’ passion is evident between the lines.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“Everyone has two lives, the second begins when we realize we only have one.” -Confucius
