Interview With Author Celeste Hart
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Hi there! I’m the author of The 30-Day Wellness Reset, a practical and empowering guide designed to help people create sustainable habits for a calmer, healthier life. Writing has become one of my favorite ways to connect, encourage, and inspire—and I’m just getting started!
So far, I’ve written one published book (The 30-Day Wellness Reset) and I’m currently working on my second, titled Mindful Momentum: Staying Well Beyond the 30 Days. My work focuses on wellness, personal growth, and finding balance in the chaos of daily life. Each book is created with the goal of helping others reset, recharge, and rediscover their peace.
I believe in small steps, big shifts, and giving ourselves grace along the way.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is called The 30-Day Wellness Reset: Your Guided Journey to Clarity, Calm, and Consistency. It was inspired by a very real need—my own, and that of so many others—for a structured yet compassionate way to break out of burnout and rediscover balance.
I kept hearing people say they felt overwhelmed, stuck in survival mode, and unsure where to start when it came to self-care. I wanted to create a guide that didn’t just preach about wellness, but walked with the reader day by day—offering simple actions, reflections, and support that feel doable even on the hardest days.
The goal? To remind people that you don’t need a full life overhaul to feel better—just a few mindful steps in the right direction.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I do, actually! One of my quirkiest writing habits is that I have to light a candle before I start. It’s like flipping a creative switch—no candle, no flow! I also tend to write my best material in short bursts—usually in 90-minute “sprints” with a playlist that matches the vibe of the chapter (lo-fi beats for calm chapters, upbeat indie for momentum-building ones).
Oh, and I talk to myself while editing—like, full-blown conversations. It’s chaotic, but somehow it works!
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I’ve been deeply influenced by authors who blend wisdom with warmth—who don’t just inform, but truly connect. Brené Brown’s The Gifts of Imperfection helped shape how I think about vulnerability and authenticity in writing. James Clear’s Atomic Habits reminded me how powerful small changes can be, and how structure and science can still feel human.
I also admire the calm, steady insight of Thich Nhat Hanh, especially in Peace Is Every Step. His work constantly reminds me that wellness isn’t a destination—it’s a moment-by-moment practice.
These voices have helped me craft my own: practical, kind, and always rooted in the idea that healing doesn’t have to be hard—it just has to be intentional.
What are you working on now?
Right now, I’m working on my next book titled Mindful Momentum: Staying Well Beyond the 30 Days. It’s a natural follow-up to The 30-Day Wellness Reset, designed to help readers keep the peace and progress they started building.
This book dives deeper into daily mindfulness practices, emotional resilience, and creating a life that feels as good as it looks on paper. It’s all about sustainable self-care—because real wellness isn’t just about a 30-day sprint, it’s about creating moments that carry you through every season of life.
I’m also putting together some bonus materials like printable trackers, “mindful moment” cards, and quick habit check-ins—because I believe growth should be practical and beautiful.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
So far, my best method for promoting books has been building an authentic presence on Instagram and Facebook, especially through wellness-themed content and daily engagement. I’ve found that consistent, value-driven posts—like quotes, behind-the-scenes writing moments, and wellness tips—really connect with readers and drive interest back to the book.
I also use Amazon KDP’s promotional tools (like Kindle Countdown Deals and free promos) paired with a launch strategy that includes:
Email list building (with a lead magnet like a free checklist or tracker)
Creating content on Canva for eye-catching visuals
Using BookFunnel or StoryOrigin for ARC reviews and reader magnets
I’m also experimenting with Pinterest for traffic and plan to expand into TikTok for quick, relatable content soon!
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Start messy, stay curious, and finish anyway.
Perfection is the enemy of progress, especially in writing. Your first draft won’t be brilliant—it’ll be brave. Let it be a little rough around the edges. That’s where your real voice lives.
Write like you’re talking to one person.
Picture a friend who needs your message—write for them, not for “everyone.” That’s how you create connection, not just content.
Don’t wait for confidence—create it.
The more you write, publish, and put yourself out there, the more your confidence catches up. And don’t forget: publishing your book doesn’t require you to be an expert—just honest, helpful, and human.
Lastly—treat marketing like a continuation of the message, not a sales pitch.
Your promotion should feel like an invitation, not a transaction. You’re not just selling a book—you’re offering transformation.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The best advice I’ve ever heard is: “Start before you’re ready.”
It’s simple, but it’s changed everything for me. So often, we wait for the perfect moment, the perfect confidence, or the perfect version of ourselves before we take the leap. But the truth is, clarity comes from doing, not overthinking. That one piece of advice reminded me that progress beats perfection every single time—and that sometimes the only thing standing between you and your dream is the decision to just begin.
What are you reading now?
Right now, I’m reading The Mountain Is You by Brianna Wiest. It’s one of those soul-shaking, highlighter-destroying reads that really makes you sit with yourself—in a good way.
It dives deep into self-sabotage, emotional transformation, and learning to become your own safe space. It’s raw, empowering, and exactly the kind of book that blends beautifully with the themes I write about—healing, growth, and taking small steps toward a more mindful life.
What’s next for you as a writer?
What’s next? Growth, grit, and a whole lot of grounded inspiration.
I’m currently diving into Mindful Momentum, the follow-up to The 30-Day Wellness Reset. But beyond that, I’m expanding my focus to include more interactive resources—think guided journals, printable trackers, maybe even a wellness planner or workbook series. I want my readers to not just read about change, but live it—daily, and with confidence.
Long-term? A podcast or course may be on the horizon, giving readers another way to connect with these tools in real time. I’m building a community, not just a catalog.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Ah, the ultimate survival and soul-care test! If I were stranded on a desert island (preferably with shade, snacks, and a hammock), here are the 4 books I’d bring:
The Gifts of Imperfection by Brené Brown
For those inevitable moments of self-doubt and identity crisis—this book is like a warm hug and a reminder to show up as you are, even on a deserted beach.
Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert
To keep the creative spark alive and remind myself that inspiration can strike even in the middle of a coconut crisis.
How to Stay Alive by Bear Grylls
Let’s be honest—I’d need more than mindset. I’d also need to not die.
The Book of Awakening by Mark Nepo
A daily devotional filled with poetry, wisdom, and perspective—perfect for staying spiritually grounded while waiting for rescue or building inner peace from scratch.
