About Childhood Trauma Recovery: The Email Conversations With My Therapist That Helped Me Overcome Childhood PTSD by Fran Stalley
This unusual and uplifting book – CHILDHOOD TRAUMA RECOVERY – is a first-hand account of a trauma therapy client and the relationship she built with her psychotherapist.
It is a true and authentic chronicle of Fran Stalley’s therapy journey as told through a series of emails. These compelling, intimate, email conversations are the topic of this book and are laid out in an easy-to-read way. They document the ups and downs of nearly two years’ of therapy with a clinical psychologist.
This book provides a rare opportunity to hear the client’s experiences of therapy, which are normally kept confidential.
It will be of interest to psychotherapists, psychotherapy students and anyone having therapy themselves for complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD).
While the subject of C-PTSD is usually in the background, there are only a few mentions of specific memories. Instead, the book is more focused on Fran’s progress, which is what makes it heartening to read.
If you are a psychotherapist, Childhood Trauma Recovery may help you both develop your practice and support your clients.
If you are on your own journey to heal childhood trauma, then this book will be inspiring to read – you too may triumph over childhood PTSD.
If you know someone with C-PTSD, Childhood Trauma Recovery demonstrates that it is possible to heal childhood trauma and lead a more fulfilling life.
It is free until 20 September and then will be 99c until end September (Price increases on 1 October).
