Interview With Author CHIRAG SAINATH
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Chirag Sainath is a dynamic Indian author and storyteller whose work spans the emotional spectrum of the human experience. With a versatile voice that refuses to be confined to a single genre, Chirag has established himself as a writer capable of exploring both the tender complexities of romance and the brutal realities of crime.
He first captured the imagination of readers with his earlier works, “Palash and Pakeezah” and “Love is Fair or Unfair?!”. In these novels, Chirag demonstrated a keen sensitivity to human relationships, delving into the nuances of love, heartbreak, and the often unfair nature of emotional entanglements. These stories established his ability to craft relatable characters and navigate the messy, beautiful terrain of the heart.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
With his 2026 release, “Gentleman: Saga of Revenge”, Chirag marks a bold and explosive shift in his literary career. Trading romance for the “Red Mist” of rage, he plunges readers into the dark, lawless corridors of Bihar’s political underworld. This latest political crime thriller showcases his evolution as a writer, blending his background in Media with a cinematic, neo-noir writing style.
Deeply influenced by his roots in Patna, Chirag’s writing is defined by its authenticity and philosophical depth. He often weaves ancient wisdom such as using Sanskrit shlokas from the Mahabharata and Gita into modern narratives of gangs, guns, and glory. His stories ask difficult questions about morality, such as forcing his characters (and his readers) to confront the “animal” hiding inside every “Gentleman”.
