Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a wife and mother of two. We live in the country but I am still a city girl at heart. I love watching and reading teen books ad movies, because they make me feel young. I collect books and Christmas snow globes and I enjoy walking through the woods in our back yard with my family. I just realized that I had the ability to write a few years ago, and once I did, I couldn’t stop. I took a novel writing course from Winghill writing school. I have written six books and one novella.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is the third and final in my Moon’s Glow Series called Riley’s Redemption. And I was inspired to write this series when I read a short story in the P.O.V of a killer. It made me want to write about a killer in a way that we sympathise with him. I also wanted to expand more into fantasy so I made him a werewolf.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Only that I write on my bed facing the TV.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Stephanie Myers. I wanted the first book I ever wrote to have the same feel as Twilight. I loved the series, but more so I loved reading in the first person. I hadn’t read many books like that before and I felt that it made me close to the Character. But when I wrote the book, I was obsessed with the Vampire Diaries TV show, so that was also an inspiration.
What are you working on now?
A ghost story inspired by a park in my hometown. I just recently heard the history of it, but as soon as I did I knew I had to write a book about it.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I advertise and have bloggers read and review.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Just to read a lot and write as much as you can.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
To write what you know.
What are you reading now?
I just started The Rush by Rachel Higginson.
What’s next for you as a writer?
More of the same I guess, Write books and publish them.
What is your favorite book of all time?
