Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’ve tried everything from traveling with a carnival to hauling corn from a field in a dump truck, in order to support my writing habit. I’ve written a total of 5 books, so far, but have several that are in the process of being written.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is called Journey Back To Threa and it was inspired by the night sky, seen in all of its glory, out in the middle of the country. Looking at all of those stars, I just knew that we could have come from there, and that there had to be others like us, out there, somewhere.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I don’t know if it would be considered an unusual writing habit, but I tend to have several stories going at once, because it seems to defeat writer’s block
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Books that have influenced me are Douglas Adams The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy, Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World, Robert Jordan’s The Wheel Of Time Series, Stephen King’s The Dark Tower Series, Anne McCaffrey’s Dragonflight, R.A. Salvatore’s The Legend Of Drizzt Series and Piers Anthony’s The Zanth Series
What are you working on now?
Right now, I’m working on book two of the Old Worlds & New Worlds Trilogy Of Gaia And Not Threa
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I promote my books on my website, www.musingsofamadmind.com and on Facebook, Goodreads, G+, and Kindle Mojo.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
My advice for new authors would be to write what you like, what fascinates you, what scares you…just write, and publish, and write some more.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Just keep writing. The more you write, the better you’ll get.
What are you reading now?
Right now, I’m rereading the entire Zanth series that my daughter so thoughtfully purchased for my birthday.
What’s next for you as a writer?
What’s next? Well, I guess after the third book in my trilogy, I’ll probably concentrate on finishing my other WIPs.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
If I was stranded on a desert isle, I would have to bring either Stephen King’s The Dark Tower Series or some of R.A. Salvatore’s The Legend Of Drizzt Series and a book by Laurell K Hamilton, from her Anita Blake series
