About Colorful Love Life By Ginger R.
From a young age, I was raised to be prejudiced. My parents taught me that I should only choose to date or marry someone who’s not black in desperate situations. I was emotionally abused and traumatized by my parents throughout my entire life. My parents pressured me to go to a Historically Black College in hopes that I’d get over my attraction to nonblack men and marry a black man. I upset them deeply when I started to date nonblack men while still attending two different black institutions. However, this frustration couldn’t compare to the rage released when I seriously dated and married my now husband. My parents did everything they could to try to put a wedge between us while we were dating. They also treated my husband, myself, and my mother in law poorly after we got married. Colorful Love Life details this entire experience and how my husband and I overcame every obstacle with the love that we have for each other.
