About Common Sense For A New Golden Era
COMMON SENSE: For A New Golden Era is a bold, unapologetic blueprint to fix what’s broken in America.
For over two decades, author Rod Lingsch has offered clear, practical solutions to the growing problems of national debt, government waste, economic instability, and the loss of the American Dream. After running for Congress in 2020, 2022, and 2024—and receiving no response from politicians despite years of outreach—he’s turned directly to the people.
This book lays out the United States Citizen Fund (USCF)—a simplified, AI-driven system that replaces bloated entitlement programs and is designed to eliminate poverty. It also introduces the Currency Usage Tax (CUT)—a single, 1% transaction tax that can replace the entire federal tax code while paying off national debt and restoring prosperity.
Written in plain language, backed by data, and driven by patriotic purpose, this is a must-read for anyone tired of partisan gridlock and ready to embrace real reform.

Author Bio:
Rod Lingsch is a decorated Air Force veteran, entrepreneur, pilot, law enforcement officer, and lifelong public servant. Born into poverty and raised amid hardship, Rod’s early life was shaped by the challenges of welfare and domestic violence. Instead of letting adversity define him, he turned it into fuel for perseverance—earning an engineering job in broadcasting after high school, graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, and eventually being selected for elite pilot training with the U.S. Air Force.
During his 22 years of military service, Rod flew combat missions, trained future pilots, and held leadership roles as a flight commander and operations officer. He later served as a Texas police officer and worked with Customs and Border Protection in Arizona and Texas.
Rod spent over a decade as a government contractor supporting the State Department and U.S. military in Iraq and Afghanistan. Holding a Top-Secret clearance his work in Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) placed him at the heart of America’s most sensitive operations overseas.
Rod’s passion for solutions-driven thinking has led him to spend more than five decades researching America’s most pressing economic and social challenges. Since 2000, he has shared his ideas with thousands of Americans and hundreds of political leaders—only to find that those in power are rarely interested in reform that threatens the status quo.
As a Christian Conservative Constitutionalist who believes in the shared values of faith, family, and freedom, Rod is also deeply committed to finding common ground. He draws inspiration from the ideals of John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr., and sees America’s future not in division, but in unity. His work challenges political complacency and offers bold, practical solutions to rebuild the American Dream.
Rod lives in Texas with his wife of over forty years. Together, they raised three children—each devoted to service in education and healthcare. Through it all, Rod has remained committed to one mission: restoring trust in public service through truth, integrity, and common sense.
