About Communist jail
My manuscript has the title: “Communist Jail”.
Its summary is:
At the beginning, the precarious, even inhumane conditions in the Detention Room of the Vaslui County Militia are presented. (Militia during communism was the equivalent of the Police in capitalist countries) (in 1987). The main character of this novel (who is the very author of the novel) was sentenced to 1 year in prison for attempting to cross the border fraudulently. The group of prisoners from the Detention Room is sent to the penitentiary located in the southern vicinity of the city of Vaslui. Next, the penitentiary is described (with many details), as well as the living conditions in it. There are many references to the communist dictator Nicolae Ceausescu, the harsh and ruthless leader of Romania in that year 1987. There is a large room (room number 32) with bunk beds. There are 45 inmates in the room who stay in the 30 existing beds in room 32. The prisoners and their delinquencies are presented: fraudulent border crossing, attempted murder, theft from private property (therefore, from the property of individuals), theft from state property, rape, self-mutilation (in order not to perform mandatory military service – of 1 year and 4 months), family abandonment (that is, a man who does not pay monthly the amount imposed by the court to his ex-wife who supports a child), falsification of documents, embezzlement, murder (multiple cases of murder), car accident of a man who consumed alcohol, theft of icons from churches, homosexuality (which was banned in Romania in 1987) etc.
As events (in this room 32) we can list:
– two suicide attempts;
– the sending to hard prison of 4 prisoners (the hard prison was a very bad and very harsh detention regime);
– an attempted rape (homosexual rape);
– a chess competition;
– reading brochures and books.
I worked very hard to get a faithful description (and a reflection of the reality of 1987 in Romania). I am sure that no one is happy to read this manuscript in the conditions in which he has a good life (with a lot of money, comfort, professional satisfaction and family harmony). But, please, try to read it!

Author Bio:
My name is Hulub Eugen and I am from Romania.
As a profession: I was first an army officer (lieutenant, then major lieutenant, then captain) in the specialty of anti-aircraft rockets (of the type: “Dvina” and “Volhov”.
Romania failed to fabricate anti-aircraft rockets and complex systems for directing anti-aircraft rockets – and bought these from Russia).
Then I left the army (for health reasons) and I worked as an engineer in electronics and
telecommunications (equivalence of the army officers’ school in the anti-aircraft rockets specialty for civilian life was – engineer in electronics and telecommunications).
I was a political dissident (anti communism and anti Nicolae Ceausescu), I was in jail (because of political reasons) for 8 months, I was questioned and investigated by the Romanian Political Police, I was forced to perform hard physical work, etc.
I wrote 4 books: one in French (which was not published), one in Romanian (which was published in Romania) and two in English (which have not yet been published).
I refer in the following to my manuscript entitled “A history of the book” (see Attached File). Its name is suggestive: a history of writing, a history of the book, a history of fiction – starting from Antiquity and ending with Garcia Marquez (a writer from South America, laureate of the Nobel Prize for Literature).
The book is also a catalog (a list) – which includes the names of the most important writers of the world and their works.
However, you can have a more complex and clearer picture of this book if you read its summary (chapter titles and subtitles of these chapters).
