Interview With Author Courtney Barnes

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Courtney Barnes is the founding officer of TKC Foundation Inc. of Arkansas,
a non-profit philanthropic organization aimed to promote community
initiatives and mentorships while providing programs and services related
to commemoration, outreach, and scholarships that honors her nephew’s
life legacy.

Gifted by God, she is an experienced intercessor and life coach who
diligently provides encouragement and inspiration to everyone she
encounters. She has dedicated her life to helping others activate their faith
and engage kingdom through the power of prayer in their lives.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The King’s Call is my only published book. It was inspired by a need for unity and understanding intimacy during cancer and grief.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
None that have been brought to my attention.

What are you working on now?
I have text ready to compose another devotional. I haven’t sat down to send it to my publisher.

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Amazon

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Stay the course. The race isn’t given to the swift, it’s for those who follow instructions.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Keep writing.

What are you reading now?
At this time, I am reading the Bible along with Michele Obama’s “Becoming.”

What’s next for you as a writer?
To continue writing in my leisure time and to process my next 40-day prayer devotional.

If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Holy Bible (MIRROR), The Holy Bible (The Message Translation), and Bill Winston
