Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
At this point I have written two books and currently working on a third. I have a few more ideas for the next couple of years.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The most recent book I’ve published is Climb to the top: a guide to unleash your inner entrepreneur.
What inspired writing this book was researching aspiring and also successful entrepreneurs.
I believe entrepreneurs are a fascinating group of people each unique to his or her pursuits.
I was compelled to write this for aspiring and struggling entrepreneurs, to give them words of encouragement and advice to help them push forward in their pursuit whatever that may be.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I can’t say that I have any unusual writing habits. At least they are not strange or unusual for me.
Typically I set aside time to type a few thoughts out and sometimes I write when the words come to me.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I would say that authors such as Jen Sincero, Wallace Wattles, and Napoleon Hill are a few authors that have influenced and inspired me.
What are you working on now?
Currently I am working on my third book. Originally I was going to write another self help book until I experienced a life changing event in August of 2016 when my home flooded along with many others in South Louisiana.
I decided to share my experience along with the ups and downs of going through a tragic event along with the hardships and emotions faced in the aftermath and rebuilding process.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Do you have any advice for new authors?
My advice for a new author is to do your best. Though it is not easy work it can be very rewarding. Don’t bother writing about something that doesn’t interest you. Write about what you love and or a topic that interests you. If you do that you’ll find the task of writing far less of a chore and more of a joy to do.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The best advice I have ever heard is to do your best in everything you do.
What are you reading now?
Currently I am re-reading Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I plan to continue to write. It’s something that is a joy for me and as long as I have breath in my body I will have something to say.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Though I cannot think of specifics at the moment, I woukd probably have one book that would be a “how to” type book in order to survive the wild on my own.
